It was December 1995 in New
York City at a very busy Emergency Room. The place
was very crowded. Dr. Omesh Verma was the senior resident
on call when he met Dr. Sanjeev Bhatia for the very first
time. Dr. Bhatia had recently joined the hospital,
being trained in India, they started talking about their
training years. This was the beginning of a good friendship
which ultimately led to the opening of a brand new Walk-in
Clinic here in Victoria. Crossroads Health Center was the
result of years of experience and hard work of both these
doctors.
The main concept behind this clinic is the availability,
of medical services every day. Every effort is made
here to serve the health needs of our community and give
prompt services. The state- of the art laboratory
provides results with in several minutes to better formulate
the plan of care. Onsite Echo cardiogram, EKG, X Ray,
Pulmonary function studies are available. The heart
studies are backed by prompt and meticulous reading by the
best cardiologists in the area. Heart Wellness program
and onsite nuclear testing help physicians to better manage
deadly heart conditions.
The Clinic aims to provide preventative services for complicated
adult illnesses like hypertension, high chloestrol, heart
conditions, and diabetes.
The Walk-in Clinic provides quality care to all ages 7
days a week. The clinic is open 9am – 8pm every
day except major holidays.
Electronic medical recording helps the doctors deliver
quality care in both Internal Medicine and Walk-in clinic
areas. No appointment is needed for walk-in and every
effort is made to see Walk-in patients as promptly as possible
depending on the patient volume that day. The appointment
patients are seen fairly quickly closer to their appointment
time.
The doctors were helped in their effort by Shama Verma,
M.S. who coordinated the computer technology and helped
integrate the lab and other ancillary services into the
electronic medical recording. |
